THIS WEEK on the Get More Smarter Podcast, it’s another bonus interview-only episode! This time, we’ve got Shad Murib, Chairman of the Colorado Democratic Party back on the show to talk about how he helped position Denver to be one of three finalists to host the Democratic National Convention in 2028.
Back in 2008, the Mile High City was electrified by our then Democratic Nominee, then-Senator Barack Obama’s acceptance speech. We could go on and on about how this inspired the last 18 years of our lives, our careers, our friendship, and even this podcast, but that would take, like, 18 years. So, instead, we encourage you to hop in the time machine and watch President Obama’s acceptance speech.
Shad’s leadership in Colorado’s bid for the DNC is extra relevant as Democrats seek to unite around a common vision to fight a common enemy: Trump, MAGA, and the forces of fascism, radicalization, and division that have overtaken our politics and turned us all against each other once more.
We have no idea who will be the Democratic nominee in 2028, but if Denver has the privilege of hosting the DNC once more, we’ll be there once again, hoping for change, and looking forward to nominating a candidate that can unite a fractured party and heal a broken nation.
